I am an Oregon girl, born and raised. A lover of the outdoors and the fresh Pacific Northwest air. I am a Mama, an avid crossfitter and a yogi. I believe in moving the body everyday whether that is through training, surfing, hiking or cycling. In an effort to keep my body mobile and healthy for my wide array of active interests, I took up yoga more than a decade ago. I believe in yoga, in all of its benefits and in sharing it with this amazing community of athletes.
Last year, I received my 200-hour Yoga teaching certification with the laser-focused goal of bringing it to the Crossfit community. I have been training at Crossfit gyms for 2 1/2 years and understand its incredible strength benefits as well as the injuries, aches and pains many of deal with on a daily basis.
Alena started CrossFit in 2012 when she lived in Denver. As a former NCAA collegiate athlete, she quickly got hooked by the amazing community and team-like atmosphere. Her career brought her to Boston and then to Portland in 2015, where she started at Pacific Crest. She’s excited to train and encourage PCCF athletes to achieve their fitness goals. “Witnessing athletes improve day after day is the most rewarding and exciting part of coaching at PCCF!”
